For those who cannot afford the full size lion’s head, here is a smaller alternative.
(Maitreya, the Buddha to come) - papier mache head. At New Year a dancer wearing such a head, precedes the Lion as he prances through the streets. He represents the Buddha to come.
Our lion head is big enough for a child to carry above the head, although we do not recommend that it is actually placed over the head. It comes complete with a material ‘body’ so your class can create its own lion dance to welcome in the New Year. Kung Hei Fat Choi!
