Amitabha Buddha: £21.25

In the Chinese Buddhist sects the Sutra of the Buddha of Infinite Light relates to Amitabha Buddha. Shakymuni Buddha (who was formerly Siddhartha) describes how Amitabha, formerly known as Bhiksu Dharmakara, had made a vow to establish a Pure Land where all would be free from their suffering. Once he had accomplished this and attained enlightenment he became known as Amitabha or Pure Land Buddha. Amitabha means Infinite Light. It is part of the Mahayana Buddhist tradition.
